This series is a continuation of the earlier construction paintings. I build most of the composition with stones, sand, rope, and glue before covering the entire piece with white enamel and then painting with oil. I have experimented with the four box grid before, but never with the constructions. In contrast to some of the earlier constructions, in this series I have tried to limit my materials to very basic elements leaving more space for painting with larger brushes. As with the other constructions, these paintings have built in frames.
