This is a 1995 series of oil pastels on paper. I started by mixing the ground up pigment of pastel sticks with a little paint medium and used the mixture to cover the surface with a brush. After that, most of the work was done using pastel sticks, which I could then smear and push around a lot like paint. I like the vibrancy and immediacy of this series. The paintings are 16 X 16 in. (40 X 40 cm) and need to be framed under glass.
